Big ups to Cambridge band Passion Pit for another skillfully crafted 3-minute earful of love.  Nevermind the fact that the video is an orchestra of objects spinning ’til the music runs out (think of the ballerina inside a musicbox) and skewed lights and obscurity, this song is insanely good. Better than good. It’s erie in a happy way, sad in a funny way, strange in a normal way and awkwardly relaxing in a hectic sort of way… you catch my drift? The mesh of child-like sing-a-long-song samples, synths, steady percussion and one pretty unique voice makes for a ray of light on a cloudy day with a 100 percent chance of feeling good. I particularly enjoy the visuals inside the cubes what with the mallets and clapping hands hiting every beat. Oh and Michael Anjelako’s mouth stills matching his vocals. Along with his beard. Very cool. This one definitely deserves a listen:

  1. it’s so funny because what he’s talking about – i can almost feel it. when you’re so hungover, etc. and your brain feels like it’s got crusty edges like your eyes and nose gets when you wake up sick. ew. but ooooooo. LOVE these guys.

  2. oOOoOoOoooOOooOOo is right on the money, honey! It’s such a relief when I hear a cool track or see a rad video that surprises me and keeps my attention throughout because there’s so much stuff out there that’s just that; stuff.
